My Story as Architect
The most inspiring buildings and cities emerge from a holistic synthesis of many diverse elements that comprise its character : the physical structures, systems and materials that manifests it; the symbolism of its form; the success of its function and use; its environmental and cultural narrative; the way you experience it; and its ability to inspire and empower.
Thus, I do not have a ‘design style’ but a design process that seeks to uncover the unique storyline of a building or space. It begins with analysis and Discovery, progresses into ideas and a Design concept, and manifests into Delivery and built reality. The process is open, fair, collaborative, evolving and puts equal weight on pragmatics and aesthetics. It respects input from clients, team, experts, place, environment, and diverse data sources. My designs are deeply rooted in contemporary life, sustainable, environmentally enduring, and relevant to the client and user. I believe this process fosters comradery, great buildings, meaningful work and responsible city building.

DELIVER
After graduating with a Master of Architecture in 2005, I was shortlisted from over 1,011 professionals for a September 11 National Memorial which was made into a CBC National documentary. I am also a recipient of multiple Awards of Excellence and most recently honored to receive the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Young Architect Award Special Mention, a nationwide award recognizing architects under the age of 40 for excellence in design, leadership and service to the profession.
I am a Senior Associate at Adamson Associates, and a licensed Architect in the United States and Canada. I have over 15 years of experience in the design and construction of high-profile complex buildings and large-scale developments all around the world. I specialize in Tall and Super Tall Buildings, Office/Commercial and Residential buildings, large mixed-use Developments and Master Plans. I hold equal passion for Civic, Cultural, Transportation and Residential buildings; and quite frankly, all things Architecture.

I thrive in leadership roles and have manifested many amazing designs while at Adamson. These opportunities were afforded to me because of the Partner’s recognition of my natural design instinct, strategic thinking and leadership potential. My ability to view a project holistically through the lens of an architect, engineer, client and user, coupled with experience-driven intuition and knowledge in design and construction, and ability to solve very complex design issues, are proven assets to the company’s (and my) success.
Although I have a well-rounded experience as an Architect, my specialization is at the front-end. I lead the design efforts of the company, either independently or jointly with a Partner. I conceive and present design concepts and strategies to Client and City, and ensure successful transition into documentation and construction. This effort includes building and sustaining client relationships, leading multiple project teams, and liaising consultants. I co-lead Adamson’s Design Department and am charged with establishing our design vision, standards, use of BIM, parametrics and technology in design, mentoring and inspiring our teams.

3 CONTINENTS
I have successfully worked with a diverse roster of clientele ranging from developers and financial institutions, to tech giants and governmental agencies including but not limited to: Brookfield Properties, Canary Wharf Group, Related, Tishman Speyer, Hines, Ivanhoe Cambridge, Oxford Properties, Goldman and Sachs, Blackrock, JP Morgan and Google, to the US National Parks Services and TwoFour54. I have also collaborated with the firms of some of the most prominent Pritzker Prize and master architects today including Renzo Piano, Norman Foster, Richard Rogers, Jean Nouvel, Zaha Hadid, Ben van Berkel, Jeanne Gang, Bjarke Ingels, and Thomas Heatherwick.

Good design begins with leadership that embodies the confluence of proven talent, diverse experience, open process, and inspiring attitude. Great Architecture emerges from the alchemy of strong leaders and their commitment to mentorship and collaboration. That’s my commitment as an Architect.
